Sediment Budget and Net Sediment Transport on a Coast Dominated by Waves and Offshore Currents: A Case Study on the Ishikawa Coast and Its Surrounding Areas in Japan

This study discusses the coastal sediment budget for Ishikawa coast using 12 years of observational datasets; it involves an understanding local and regional dynamics, intensity transport processes in region, supply from a river. Although alongshore budgets have been analyzed previous studies, only few conducted cross-shore evaluations. The concentration suspended sediments will be determined this study, taking into account influence waves that are associated with current. analysis indicated net directions surf offshore zones opposite on coast. increase zone can attributed to river longshore inflow. Because significant outflow components transports, showed decreasing trend. A detailed sensitivity was performed by varying input parameters, order determine possible ranges rates adjacent coasts. results demonstrated possibility clockwise residual circulation. Our method used analyze other coasts supplement future studies sedimentology budgets.
